The Short Version

We built PTC Binder™ to be as privacy-friendly as possible. Here's what you should know:

• Your data stays on your device. Your card collection and app data are stored locally and in your personal iCloud account — we cannot see or access any of it.

• No account required. You don't need to create a profile or hand over personal information to use PTC Binder™.

• We don't sell your data. Ever. To anyone.

• We don't run ads. No ad networks, no tracking pixels, no behavioral profiling.

• The only time we hear from you is if you contact us — we delete your email address and any personally identifiable information within 30 days, and may retain your message in anonymized form to help improve the app.

• We collect anonymous usage statistics to understand how the app is being used and make it better. Nothing that identifies you personally.

About Us and Our Services

This Privacy Policy is published by UMANERA LLC, doing business as PTC Binder™ ("Umanera," "PTC Binder™," "we," "us," or "our"). While our primary contact address is hello@ptcbinder.com, please note that responses to your inquiries may come from hello@umanera.com, the official email address of UMANERA LLC. If you receive an email from hello@umanera.com in response to a message you sent to hello@ptcbinder.com, it is a legitimate communication from us. The services offered by us (referred to as the "Services") include, but are not limited to, websites, mobile applications, software, and social media profiles owned, operated, or published by Umanera. The scope of our Services may expand or change over time, and this Privacy Policy applies to all current and future Services provided by or through Umanera, regardless of the medium or platform through which they are accessed.

Overview

By using our services you accept this privacy policy. No private information is required in order to use PTC Binder™. All the information contained in the app, is stored in your device and your iCloud account. We don't see or have access to such information.

All app data is stored locally on your device and synced through your personal iCloud account. Umanera has no ability to access, view, or retrieve data stored in your iCloud account. That data is governed entirely by Apple's iCloud Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Services

Some of the Services made available by or through Umanera may be hosted, operated, or delivered — in whole or in part — by third-party platforms, providers, or organizations over which we have no ownership or control. These may include, but are not limited to, third-party websites, application stores, payment processors, social media platforms, and software tools. Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy and data practices. By accessing or using any such third-party service, you acknowledge and agree that you are also subject to the respective privacy policies and all other applicable policies of those third parties. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or policies of any third-party service, and your use of such services is solely at your own risk. This includes social media platforms to which you may choose to share content directly from within the app. Any content you share to third-party platforms is subject to the privacy policies and terms of those platforms, and we have no control over how that content is handled once shared.

YouTube. The app connects to YouTube (youtube.com and img.youtube.com) to display promotional video content from our partners. When the app fetches video thumbnails and feed data, YouTube may receive your device's IP address and standard HTTP request headers. We do not control or have access to any data YouTube may collect through these requests. Your use of YouTube content is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

What We Collect

Email

If you contact us via email, we delete your email address and any other personally identifiable information (PII) contained in your message within 30 days of resolving your inquiry. The content of your message may be retained indefinitely in anonymized or summarized form. Please don't share information not related to the app with us.

Social Media Direct Messages

If you contact us via direct message on Bluesky, Instagram, or any other social media platform, we do not export, save, or store your messages outside of the platform through which they were sent. Those messages remain on the respective platform's servers and are subject to that platform's own retention policies and terms of service — we do not control how those platforms store or handle your messages.

User-Generated Content

Any content you create within the app, including notes, custom data entries, and images, is stored exclusively on your device and synced to your personal iCloud account. We do not have access to, nor do we store, any user-generated content on our servers.

Home Screen Widget 

PTC Binder™ includes an optional home screen widget that displays your collection statistics. To provide this functionality, a summary of your collection data is shared between the app and its widget extension through a secure, on-device shared container. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.

Device Permissions

Our app may request access to your device's camera and photo library solely to allow you to add images to your collection. Photos you take or select are stored locally on your device and in your iCloud account. We do not upload, transmit, or have access to any photos or images you capture or select through the app.

On-Device Image Processing. When using the camera to capture card photos, the app uses Apple's on-device computer vision technology to detect card edges and assist with alignment. All image processing occurs entirely on your device. No images or image data are transmitted to external servers for this purpose.

Analytics

We use Apple's built-in App Store Connect analytics, which Apple collects as part of its standard App Store operation. This provides us with anonymous, aggregated usage data such as app downloads, sessions, and crashes. No third-party analytics SDKs or tracking tools are embedded in the app. We do not collect any analytics data directly.

Ads

We don't have ads.

How Information is Used

We use the information we collect to operate and improve our website, apps, and customer support.

We do not share personal information with third parties.

We may disclose your information in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal requirements; to exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud or abuse, violations of our policies; or to protect our rights and property.

In the future, we may sell to, buy, merge with, or partner with other businesses. In such transactions, user information may be among the transferred assets.

All in-app purchases are processed exclusively by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, process, or store any payment or billing information. For details on how Apple handles payment data, please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy.

When you contact us through any channel — including email, social media direct messages, or any other means — we use your communication solely to respond to your inquiry and to help us improve our products and services. For communications received via email, any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name or email address is deleted within 30 days of resolving your inquiry and is never sold or shared with third parties. For communications received via social media, we do not control the retention or deletion of PII as those messages remain on the respective platform's servers and are subject to that platform's own privacy policy and terms of service.

The content of your communication may be retained indefinitely in anonymized or summarized form for product improvement purposes, with all PII removed.

If we wish to use your communication for any purpose beyond what is described in this policy — such as featuring it as a testimonial, sharing it publicly, or using it in marketing materials — we will seek your explicit consent before doing so.

Any unsolicited ideas or feature suggestions submitted through any channel are subject to our Unsolicited Idea Policy (https://www.ptcbinder.com/unsolicited-idea), which governs how that content may be used.

Social Media

PTC Binder™ maintains official accounts on third-party social media platforms. If you interact with us on any of these platforms, your interactions are governed by the respective platform's privacy policy and terms of service. We do not control how those platforms collect or use your data.

PTC Binder™ may allow you to share content from the app — such as cards or collections — to third-party social media platforms. When you choose to share content, you are doing so voluntarily. Any information you share on those platforms is subject to their own privacy policies. We do not collect or store any data in connection with your use of social sharing features.

Our app and website may contain links to our official social media profiles. These links are provided for convenience only. UMANERA LLC is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third-party platform.

If you publicly tag or mention PTC Binder™ on social media and we reshare your content, we do so in accordance with the User-Generated Content terms outlined in our Terms and Conditions (https://www.ptcbinder.com/terms-and-conditions).

How We Protect Information

We implement numerous security measures to help keep your information secure. For instance, all communication with the app and website requires HTTPS.

Data synced via iCloud is subject to Apple's iCloud terms of service and privacy policy. We do not have access to your iCloud account or any data stored within it.

Your Rights

You can access or delete your personal information anytime by emailing us at hello@ptcbinder.com. You may delete any content you have created within the app at any time directly from within the app. For any additional privacy requests, you may contact us at hello@ptcbinder.com.

Data Retention. Your collection data, including card photographs and metadata, is stored on your device and in your personal iCloud account for as long as you choose to keep it. You may delete individual cards, entire binders, or all data at any time from within the app. Uninstalling the app will remove all locally stored data. Data synced to iCloud can be managed through your device's iCloud settings.

California Privacy Rights

California residents who use PTC Binder™ may request information about any personal data we have collected from them. PTC Binder™ collects minimal personal information — if you contact us directly, we retain your message content in anonymized form and delete your email address and any other personally identifiable information within 30 days. There is therefore little personal data to disclose. To make a request, contact us at hello@ptcbinder.com.

Children's Privacy

PTC Binder™ is a collector tool intended for users aged 13 and older. It is not directed at children. While some airlines distribute pilot trading cards as promotional items that may appeal to younger audiences, PTC Binder™ itself is designed as a cataloging and collection management tool for collectors, and is not designed or intended to attract children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or store personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country). If you are under 13, do not use PTC Binder™ or provide any information through the app or its services.

Users between the ages of 13 and 18 may use PTC Binder™ only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on their behalf.

If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under the applicable age threshold, we will take prompt steps to delete that information. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@ptcbinder.com and we will delete it promptly.

For users in the United Kingdom: PTC Binder™ acknowledges the UK Age Appropriate Design Code. We do not collect personal data from users we know to be under 18, and we do not design features intended to engage or retain child users.

For users in the European Union: The age at which a minor may consent to data processing varies by EU member state (between 13 and 16). If you are below the applicable age in your country, you must have parental consent before using PTC Binder™.

For users in Canada: We comply with PIPEDA and do not knowingly collect personal information from children without verifiable parental consent.

Information for European Union / EEA Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have certain rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) regarding your personal data.

Because PTC Binder™ is designed to collect minimal personal information, the only personal data we may hold about you is your email address, and only if you contacted us directly. All other app data is stored exclusively on your device and in your personal iCloud account — we cannot access it.

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we hold about you. You also have the right to object to or restrict our processing of your data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@ptcbinder.com. We will respond within 30 days.

If you believe we have not handled your data in accordance with applicable law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

By using PTC Binder™, you acknowledge that your data may be processed and stored in the United States, which may have different data protection standards than those in your country. Where required by law, we rely on your consent as the legal basis for any such processing.

International Transfers of Information

Information may be processed, stored, and used outside of the country in which you are located. Data privacy laws vary across jurisdictions, and different laws may be applicable to your data depending on where it is processed, stored, or used.
